ASTROLOGICAL SYSTEMS

As a great fan of astrology and someone who is involved in her research, I consider it important to share with other astrology fans that there are 3 systems of calculation.
That are:

• Tropical,
• Sidereal,
• True Sidereal

                                

                               TROPICAL

Thise system is represented by most Western astrologers. This system is based on seasons and was created by Claudius Ptolemy, 2000 years ago. He followed the position of the constellations. Then, on 21. March, Sun was in the constellation of Aries, while on that day today, Sun is in the constellation of Pisces, because the Earth is not fixed, and due to its shift changes occur in astrological field. Many who are not advocates of this astrological system resent that it is not taken into account that the positions of the planets are not the same as it was 2000 years ago. Because of this, among other things, NASA does not recognize astrology as a science.

                               SIDEREAL 

This system is represented by most Vedic astrologers. It is based on the exact position of the planets. Each zodiac sign has 30 degrees, as in the Tropical system.

                           TRUE SIDEREAL

This system, like Sidereal, is based on exact position of the planets, but uses the actual size and position of the constellations in the sky. The only difference between Sidereal and True Sidereal system of calculations is that the second one does not take that each zodiac sign has 30 degrees, but uses the actual size of the constellations. For example the largest constellation is the constellation of the sign Virgo. 

According to this system the zodiac allocation is as follows:

Aries           (21.04.-12.05.)

Taurus        (13.05.-19.06.)

Gemini       (20.06.-16.07.)

Cancer       (17.07.-06.08.)

Leo             (07.08.-14.09.)

Virgo          (15.09.-03.11.)

Libra          (04.11.-22.11.)

Scorpio      (23.11.-06.12.)

Ophiuchus (07.12.-18.12.)

Sagittarius (19.12.-19.01.)

Capricorn  (20.01.-13.02.)

Aquarius    (14.02.-09.03.)

Pisces        (10.03.-20.04.)
